What makes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu so effective is that 90% of fights either end up on the ground or end up in a holding/stalling position to avoid getting hit. Instead of learning choreographed moves like katas or predictable techniques that both you and a training partner expect, you will learn how to apply techniques on a training partner that resists while at the same time is also trying to perform their own moves, similar to what would happen in a real fight apart from strikes. This type of training teaches children to avoid confrontation when possible and teaches them how to neutralize a threat without causing damage to themselves or their foe.
On top of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teaching your child to defend themselves, Emerson Souza Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructors instill important values into each training session. We teach the importance of Focus, discipline, respect, healthy lifestyle, exercise and much more.
